ObjectWorkplace Standard and Runtime
ObjectWorkplace is the object oriented user interface standard for embedded applications developed and maintained by cefischer solutions. The standard offers a universal, secured desktop archtitecture for graphics and text modes. It bases on a versatile object oriented design and interface with a reduced set of screen controls including a dynamic metaclass/ class architecture, persistence and replication frameworks, a document/ part concept based application environment and support of local and remote distribution of objects. A nano-sized implementation of the standard for x86 compatible processors is available at no charge.

ObjectWorkplace Classes
ObjectWorkplace is designed as Application Evironment (AE) for the x86-Protected Mode RTOS µPMOS. Replacing µPMOS' default command prompt AE, OWP offers superior support for complex and feature rich embedded applications. We work on several OWP application classes.

Because IBM OS/2 is the main research and development system used for implementing ObjectWorkplace on the x86 platform, OWP classes are already available as full operational OS/2 WorkplaceShell (WPS) applications. Those classes can be used on OS/2 development systems now and later on any x86-compatible system that supports the OWP standard.
